(Beijing, January 22) The Group B competition of women's 53kg of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 International Weightlifting Invitational Tournament was contested among three Chinese weightlifters with Xiong Li having a better performance to rank first.

The three Chinese weightlifters Xiong Li, He Yunhua and Wang Chengyan come from Team China A, B and C. The competition between the teammates was not very fierce but it was a very good chance for them to show themselves.

In snatch, three of them started at 75kg, 75kg and 85kg only to see Wang Chengyan lifted 75kg in the first attempt. Xiong Li succeeded in 85kg in the second attempt while He Yunhua managed to lift 75kg. In the third attempt Xong Li lifted 88kg. The final results of other two lifters He Yunhua and Wang Chengyan were 80kg.

In clean and jerk, Wang Chengyan lifted 100kg in the first attempt. Both Xiong Li and He Yunhua failed in the first attempt. Wang Chengyan succeeded in lifting 105kg in the second attempt while He Yunhua managed to lift 100kg. In the third attempt Xiong Li lifted 112kg while both Wang Chengyan and He Yunhua failed. The final results of C & J of Wang Chengyan and He Yunhua were 105kg and 100kg respectively.

Thus, Xiong Li finished first with a total result of 200kg, Wang Chengyan and He Yunhua came second and third with 185kg and 180kg respectively.
