(Beijing, January 23) The "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 International Weightlifting Invitational Tournament continued at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA) Gymnasium this morning. The Group B competition of the men's +105kg was contested among two Chinese weightlifters, Liu Hao and Zhao Kang, who come from Team A and Team B respectively.

In the snatch, Liu Hao opened the competition with 145kg and then lifted 150kg and 155kg in the second and third attempts. Zhao Kang tried 147kg in his first attempt but failed. He managed 147kg in his second attempt but failed again in the third due to overtime despite lifting 152kg.

In the clean & jerk, Liu Hao lifted 185kg in his first attempt while Zhao Kang lifted 170kg. In his second attempt Zhao Kang decided to try 175kg instead of 172 but failed. However he managed to lift 175kg in the last attempt. Liu Hao also changed 186kg to 195kg in his second attempt and succeeded. For his third attempt Liu Hao asked for 200kg but failed.

For two-lift total in this category, Liu Hao was first with 350kg while Zhao Kang was second with 322kg.
