(Beijing, January 23) After finishing the women's +75kg class of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2008 International Weightlifting Invitational Tournament this afternoon, the three medalists, Huang Huan of China, and Roditi Aikaterini and Kasapi Vasilika of Greece, attended the post-competition press conference held at the BUAA Gymnasium.

Huang said she was happy to be able to bring out her best during the contest and that competing in this future Olympic venue made her excited.

Roditi Aikaterini and Kasapi Vasilika, the two Greek medalists, also expressed their satisfaction with the venue and the supporting facilities. Roditi Aikaterini said the venue reminded her of the one at the Athens Olympic Games in 2004 and hoped to meet everybody here again during the Beijing Olympics. Kasapi Vasilika liked the platform and described the competition management as excellent. Both thought weightlifters from China were formidable opponents for them in the days to come.

Huang Huan began regular weightlifting training at age 14. Over the years she has taken Tang Gonghong, China's +75kg Olympic champion in Athens 2004, as the model and has been working hard in order to challenge Tang's athletic achievements some day.
